Between Two Yetis is going on tour with the help of our friends at GMT - Global Marine Travel.

Two and a half years ago, we started this journey of discovering the marine industry one person at a time and now, we’re taking the show on the road. We’ve been invited all around the world to showcase the greatness of yachting and we’ve decided to start where I began: The United Kingdom.

Ken Hickling is our first ‘Tour Guide’ and we’re going to visit his Southampton. From boat builders to approval agencies, marinas to industry associations, we’ll follow Ken through a whirlwind day before breaking bread at his favorite Indian restaurant.

We need partners! If you’ve ever wanted to be seen on Netflix or Amazon, get involved because that’s where this show is headed. Episode one is Southampton. A full season will take us all around the world.

Our aim is to showcase the diversity and economic importance of the marine industry to the general public, so they understand that buying a big white boat is helping millions of people put food on the table for their families. ON TOUR will celebrate that in the most personable of ways.

Jump over to our website now to see how you can get involved and join us, as we discover the marine industry – one person at a time-starting in Southampton with Mr. Ken Hickling.

Ken Hickling has been a regular on Between Two Yetis, and so it is only fitting that we kick off the series with him showing us his hometown of Southampton. We’re going to see the places he frequents, the people he works with, share a bit o’ banter at his local pub, and chin wag over a meal at his favorite local Indian restaurant.

Ken Hickling has been in the business of boating for the past 20 years. From 1998 until 2015 he was the driving force behind International Paint/Awlgrip.  He now runs his own business consultancy, Sherpa63, assisting companies in the marine space.

Ken has served on the board of the International Superyacht Society for over 6 years and is an active advocate of the industry through Superyacht Charities and Superyacht UK. Outside of the industry he also spends his time supporting local charities Beyond the Streets and Southampton Community Families Trust.

A keen sailor, a trained boat builder and a proper British bloke - we’re going to have some fun!

There’s no “I” in team! We need your help to make our show a success. In exchange for your support, we’ll slap your logo across everything we can as well as naturally work your company into the activity and conversation of our day-to-day.
